Prescription Costs
Each individual prescription will have a charge of £10 which covers dispensing costs. Added to this rate will be the item cost.
Liquids starting cost is £4 per 100ml
Dried, cut herbs from £2.50 per 100 grams
Capsules cost from £24.95 per 300
Creams from £4.95 per 60ml
Postage from £5.95 (small packet)
Free postage on orders over £200

How the Service Works
Download the prescription form here and fill out the required prescription adding both the Latin and common herb names, Select the form of herb and the amount. Make sure all details are correct including the delivery address. Finally, sign your prescription and return to us at -
prescriptions@plantamedica.co.uk.
We will then take the prescription and add it to our system. An email confirmation will be send to you to check all is correct, once we have confirmation the prescription will be passed to our dispensing team. We aim to dispatch either to practitioner or direct to patient within two working days.

Frequently Asked Questions
What if my patient is receiving two prescriptions at once, is the cost per patient or per prescription?
The cost is per prescription, if a patient requires two prescriptions that will be two prescription charges and two medicine costs.
Will creams and essential oils be available through this service?
Yes, they will. Creams are available as organic base/non- organic base. We can add 30% liquid to the base.
Where is the prescription to be sent, to practitioner or patient?
We will send to either, multiple addresses will incur multiple delivery charges. Please ensure the delivery address is correct.
How quickly are the prescriptions dispatched?
We aim to dispatch within 48 hours of confirmation of the prescription.
What if an item on my prescription is unavailable?
We will notify you if any items are unavailable and offer you the chance to suggest alternative herbs.
Can I use my own labels on the prescriptions?
We do not currently offer this service but add all necessary details to our own generic labels.
Can I combine a prescription order with a stock order?
Yes you can, but please be aware that the prescription dispensing time may impact on the overall dispatch time.
What size bottle liquids are available through this service?
We can dispense in sizes ranging from 100 mls to 1 litre bottles

Yes, all dispensing staff are fully trained to dispense herbal prescriptions
What is the maximum liquid amount for a small packet postage charge?
A small packet will cover up to 250 ml of liquid
What is the maximum amount of dried herb in a small packet?
